Interviewer: What's your life's ambition? Liv: To be a vet
Interviewer: What made you take up rowing and when? Liv: I took it up about two years ago when I quit hockey coaching. It was something new to try.
Interviewer: Has anything embarrassing happened to you whilst on the river? Liv: A four I was in managed to capsize just as we were about to come in [to the boathouse] and I ended up standing in about a foot of sewage in the river.
Interviewer: Do you have a rowing icon? Liv: I haven't ever really considered having a rowing icon before, but I respect Steve Redgrave for all his Olympic achievements.
Interviewer: What would your ideal boat type and position be? Liv: I like the VIII+ that we have at the moment [now split into two IV's]. As for my ideal seat, it would have to be stroke.
Interviewer: Do you read "Regatta"? Liv: Does anyone?
Interviewer: What would you like the boat club's mascot to be? Liv: Wally in his woodsman's hat.
Interviewer: What sort of status do you think rowing has in this college? Liv: It's still a minority sport, but I think the college is beginning to take it more seriously now.
Interviewer: If you were omnipotent what changes would you make to the boat club? Liv: If omnipotent also includes an endless supply of cash I'd buy 8 single sculls, our own boathouse and a video camera for Malcolm.
Interviewer: What are your duties as Captain of Boats? Liv: To organise the squads, communicate between coaches and rowers, find crews for regattas… etc….
Interviewer: How have you changed the way the boat club is run since your tenure began? Liv: Better communication between coaches and crews and greater efficiency (I hope) at the boathouse (-sometimes!)
Interviewer: What's your claim to fame? Liv: I'd hate to be famous, so I don't want a claim to fame [bit of a mistake filling out this questionnaire then, Liv!]
Interviewer: What would your ideal man be like? Liv: Tom Cruise in "Top Gun".
